Default Falcon 2.1 vs 3.1

Hey ya'll...brand new to the forum, so I apologize if this has been asked 1000x.

I have a 2016 JKU S, with a 3.25" Teraflex lift. It came with 9550 shocks, and I'm ready to upgrade. I do moderate wheeling, but nothing extreme. It is my daily driver. What would ya'll recommend?

I don't have a need for the adjustable 3.3, and I am sold on Falcons. The price difference is steep, and while money isn't a concern, I don't like to be wasteful if I really wouldn't see much of a difference between the two. Thanks!

They are an over rated shock and the new has worn off them. Overly expensive but if you dont need the 3.3 why even spend the money on them. You should not see much of a difference in the two. Most of the adjusters on shocks do very little to affect the ride.

Well, that's what I'm asking. I don't know if the 3.3s or the 3.1s are a clear upgrade over the 2.1s. That is literally my question. Any of them are clear upgrades over the 9550s.

If a stiffer shock is what you consider an upgrade then yes. Or if you want to take it off the jeep and bang it on rocks it would hold up much better than the crappy 9550's.

I you can afford what those 3.3's cost just buy some tripple bypass shocks. At least you can tune all aspects of the shock performance.
