Default Fender delete with wide bumper

Hi everyone. I have a 2012 2 door and I pulled my rear fenders off because the tires were rubbing under heavy articulation. I'm seriously considering a fender delete kit, but I've also got a very wide ARB front bumper and I'm thinking it's going to look kind of goofy, like Carl from Slingblade. Have any of you done this, and does it look as bad as I'm thinking it will?

Honestly I think a full width front bumper looks funny with anything other than stock fenders IMO which is why I went with a stubby front.

It is going to look incredibly odd IMO. I happened to see one on the road the other day that was fenderless and still running a factory front bumper. It was not appealing IMO, and I'm ok with the fenderless look in general. I ran with fender deletes for many years, but I have a PSC BFH front bumper so it is extremely minimal. I was always surprised how the jeep could look extremely different from various angles. Every now I'd catch an fenderless jeep from the back corner.....kinda around where a blindspot in rear view mirror location would be, and it's amazing how narrow the nose of the jeep would look.....you'd just see that tire at the front corner and see the nose angle way in. Anyhow, I think it would look pretty weird with anything that is wide. I'm not even sure about mid-width, but can't recall ever seeing one that way.

The flip side is if you decide to go a different route on the front end, that Arb bumper should be pretty easy to sell for a decent bit. I have seen a few jeeps go fenderless in the rear paired with a narrow front fender. That look isn't bad, though a full front bumper might still look odd with it.

I've thought about selling it. It's a little bit beat up on the drive side, but still plenty functional. It's the 2 door

I can tell you that if you remove the front fenders, the biggest downside is the jeep is A MESS all the time. Might not seem like a big deal but if you ever traverse gravel or cinder-type roads man oh man. Kinda hard to listen to little bits of cinder hit your body and clear coat or gravel getting caught in a tire and flung up with a loud thud on the roof. I broke a few side mirrors with a rock off the back tire flung forward. On the plus side, nice to now worry about fenders when wheelin'.

**you'd also need to be comfortable cutting off the front fender support that would stick out at the top of the wheel well.

Yeah the rocks are something to worry about. I'd hate to hit a motorcyclist with one. As far as the mess, it's a pain getting the mud out of the fenders and underneath. I may get skinny fenders for the front and a delete for the rear.
