What states do you guys live in where cops are so anal about tire coverage? In Texas, a cop may stop you just to say how cool your Jeep looks and not screw with you at all.

I can't chop them due to me needing the extra coverage because of the cop?
And I was looking into the poison spyder ones, but if I'm not mistaken they cover the same amount of tire as the stock ones do.
And like I said I really would rather stay away from plastic..

Hah suburb of pittsburgh, pa where cops have nothing better to do than get little crap like less than .5 in sticking out on each tire but he said the fine could be well over 100 bucks per tire if I don't get them on soon hahah

I've looked and haven't come across any except for the plastic ones. I'd find a style of fender you really like and have a good fabricator make some aluminum ones up for you. That's what I'm looking to do - steel rusts way too fast in the northeast, even powder coated..

I was looking at the wildboar new snorkels yesterday and they had a thing on their site with flatties that they give 2" more covered than stock ones. May help out. Never tried any of their stuff so don't know about quality

Ya I too live in the north east and hadn't thought about the steel ones rusting..
The wildboar ones are a great find! But they are fiberglass? I've never really had much experience with fiberglass? Anyone have any opinions on that?

I know it is more prone to shatter if it takes a hit and repair is next to impossible. They would be ok on a jeep that never sees a trail, but if there is a likelihood of hitting them on something I would stay away from em. I love my bushwhacker flatties but I know they won't suit your need

Can maybe check Poison Spyder ( super expensive for the grit and rear) maybe M.O.R.E. Not sure if they cover enough for your needs. Worst case scenario, Bushwhaker makes Pocket Flares. Don't like them personally but I KNOW they would suit you need
