Default Fender flares

So i have stock flares but I'm running 17X8 black rocks with 36X13.50 IROKS. I'm headed back to Louisiana in 3 months but before I leave my safety inspection in Hawaii is up in january. In order to do that I need to have fender flares that cover my tires. I'm not ready to drop $4-500 on new flares yet. Anyone know a cheap that I can mount something to my stock flares just to pass inspection? I thought about garden trim but looking for other options.

Thanks for the quick reply. I still have my factory's I can throw on that's not an issue, but the way it works here is you have to have a recon slip for everything done to so if for some chance I get stopped they read my recon slip and see I have aftermarket tires with no proof on recon I get ticketed. Hawaii is a little stricked.

Get a set of stock take offs and trim the inside edge off then screw the outer edge onto your stock set to extend them.

Wow, Hawaii has some screwed up laws. So if your "recon" shows you have upgraded wheels and "modified" flares then you are good to go?

I have a set of take offs that you could have if you wanted to try the solution above, you'd just need to pay for shipping (they arn't heavy, but they are bulky) There is a crack on the inside of one of the rears, but if you are cutting them off that probably wouldn't matter. Might make more sense to find them local (48-state shipping is cheap, no idea on Hawaii, i'm in California)

Yea that would be great if you were closer I appreciate the offer though. I seen a buddy take garden trim and screw it to the inside of his fender I think I will try that it's only temp. I can rip it off once I ship my jeep
Thanks for all the posts
