Default fender rubbing

i have a 3" black diamond with 35's. i have 3.75" backspacing on my wheels so they stick out a bit. when i am at full flex up front i rub the flares if the wheel is turned. do you think a 1" body lift is enough to fix this? the pic is at FULL flex. i havent ripped a flare off yet, but i am planning a trip to river rock, GA next month and i dont want to have to deal with this every five minutes. It looks to me like a 1" would do it just wanted soe other opinions. I dont have much time before my trip so i need to order parts soon.

a 1" body lift will help out a lot but you might want to consider getting longer bumpstop extensions as well.

why would i want to limit my flex with longer bumpstops? wouldn't it be better to make the room for the tire to travel. not trying to be a smart a$$.

to prevent the rubbing that you are experiencing now. by the look of your pic, i doubt that a body lift alone will fix your problem. of course, you could always add coil spacers or even taller coils but then, you should still add bumpstop extensions to accomodate them. bumpstop extensions exist to help prevent the over compression of your coils. sure you can get more stuff without them but you may also end up with a lopside standing jeep. eitherway, it's your jeep

i really dont like the look of any aftermarket flares. I would love to trim them but my wife would probably leave me. she told me she didnt care when i hacked on my yj but i better not do it to this one. at least not yet. just hit 2000 miles. i guess i will probably get a 1" BL and then just go from there. Migh tjust have to run no flares at all on my upcoming trip.

This is how mine turned out. I didn't need a roter and guides do it. I used a
3 foot level, yellow crayon and my handy dandy Drimel.

I also used the sawzaw to trim up the under parts...You should have see the look in my wifes face I'm going to put in new lights and call it done. Now on to the next mode

I plan to cut them like this guy did this weekend. I guess i will also have to cut the front bumper up or it will look pretty stupid hanging past the flares. My wife is just going to have to deal with it.
