You should have no problems as long as it is a cotton based filter. The cleaning and oiling elements are pretty similar around the board.....cleaner is basicly mineral spirits and oil is well......light oil. I am sure someone here probably has all the details, but I would hve no issues using the k&n on an airaid.

Well I know the Airaid filter is supposed to be some synthetec thing or something. I just don't want to mess it up. But I would think that they would be close enohg to work ???

I really doubt you will have any issues. It is always your call as it is your equipment, but if it were me I would have no hesitation.

I would think they will pitch their brand. I mean they might be truthful but I bet they would not reccomend K&N's kit. I could be wrong, maybe they will just tell me if it will ruin the filter. JOE>

Well I did speak to Airaid (David) and he said you "could" use the K&N kit, but it was no the same as theirs. It would not ruin it but they reccomend theirs for the life of the filter. JOE>
