Default final questions before purchasing suspension components...

I have a 2011 jku auto. I currently have 17/58 coils. I am going to buy 50 mile Rubicon take offs (19/60), steering stabilizer and shocks for $200. I'm also getting the teraflex leveling kit. Running stock 17's with 255/75/17 from the factory. Not planning any rock crawling or serious offroading just camping and occassional trailer pull. Since I'm tackling this myself thanks to words of encouragement from my fellow jeepers, I have ~$200 left in my budget. Is there anything else I NEED to buy to maintain a good on-road ride?

you should be good with that set up. i put that same set up on my wife's 4dr. it sits at a nice height. with the leveling kit it is nice and level and it adds a bit of height too. the quick discos in the leveling kit are nice to have too. i would not worry about swapping out the steering stabilizer... they should be the same. there are a few threads on the forum here about switching over to rubi takeoffs to check if u need tips with the install. good luck!!

Don't expect much lift from the new springs. It is typically us 2 door guys that benefit from the higher number springs. The Rubi shocks however is a huge upgrade over the stock shocks.

A couple words of advice:
Unclip the speed sensor wires on front axle so they don't get damaged when you let the axle droop.
Unhook the parking brake cables (you will see them tied up to body) in the rear to allow for more droop. The springs will be much easier to get in/out.

Enjoy working on your Jeep!

Thanks. I am only anticipating lift from the leveling kit and only looking for ~2" at that. If I get anything beyond that by doing the springs too its just a bonus. O was going to do the leveling kit w better shocks but saw the takeoffs and realized that for less money it was still a pretty good upgrade over stock and I hope the heavier springs help a little when pulling a light travel trailer.

does your leveling kit come with shock extensions? just a thought not sure how much the spring and leveling will net, but at 2" and more it might be nice to have.

btw, what model jku did the springs come out of? i ask because there is a mystery to solve in another thread....

Will I need wheel spacers with these items? I plan to run something cheaper from a leveling standpoint until I need new tires and will then replace tires and wheels as my second step then a proper larger coil lift as my "step 3".

No. You will be fine. Its when you move up to wider tires than stock when you need wheel spacers
