Finished RE 3.5 install querks.
First off, let me say this lift is awesome. Took me and buddy about 9 hours to complete. Here is what I ran into while tackling this project:
Started on the front. Everything went real smooth with only a few minor problems.. Air tools?.? Had them but they didn't really fit in most places.. The passenger side upper control arm frame pocket holes were smaller than the bolt supplied, so I had to drill that out with a 1/2" bit. The sway bar disconnects....the instructions were pretty vague and it seemed like I had entirely too many washers left over and the pictures were terrible to see actual items in sequence. The biggest problem with the sway bar disconnects were that the new bolts supplied were larger than the holes on the swaybar. had to drill those out as well.. Took 2 1/2" bits to drill that hard steel and sacrificed my electric drill in the process (burned her up).
We spent entirely too much time on the trackbar. Tried the measuring from swaybar mounts on the axle to opposite sides of the frame (while it was still on jackstands) but it was way off... so after about an hour, we just set it to the RE recommended length and moved on. When it was done, and on the ground, it was perfect.
The ratchet strap was an awesome idea too....to pull the axle into place to install the trackbar.
The front went great with just those few snags. Then we ate some dinner (so I guess the install took about 8 hours - still too long) and moved on to the back...
The back went awesomely smooth.. No hiccups whatsoever. I just needed larger jackstands, but it will work with standard el-cheapo jackstands..
Bled the brakes, centered the wheel, re-checked everything....three times... Now she is almost good to go. Just a few more things I have to do to eliminate some clearance issues... Gotta mod that front bumper.. Those 37s barely hit the front bumper in a turn. The back pinch seam is just scarey. Looks like it will slice the tire. I did read on another post about shortening the rubi rails about 2 inches and cutting off that offensive seam, so that is next...
Great lift, pretty easy to install. had to drill three holes out (other than the two required for the front bumpstops). Their measurements were dead on for the trackbar and control arms. I am just so excited.. It is too cold and windy to go outside and mess with it today though. I may have to go and wash it up and post some pics. But here is a pic from lastnight when it was finished.

To get the rear track bar installed all you need is a buddy to push on the side of the Jeep...no ratchet strap required. Also, I had two of my rear shocks break on the trail. Just got a replacement shock from RE and they had the shop take off my relocation bracket for the rear...just stock now. Make sure if you did use the relocation bracket that you turn the bolt around! The shop that installed my lift missed that part of the directions and the bolt sheered off while on the trail. Nice rig!!
I am using the relocation brack and which bolt are you referring to??? Crap, now I need to go check it out.
It was the front trackbar that I had to use the ratchet strap for... The back went in with a little wiggling...
Thanks for the insight..
