Default Firestone AT or General Grabber AT2's (which one)

My wife hates the Bridgestone tires that came on her Sahara, claims the drive bad in the rain, snow and ice.

I am considering the above (see title) tires but cant decide between the two. I would like the Duratrac's but the price is to high per tire compared to the other two.

What tire should I go with ?

If she thinks the Duelers are bad, then I think both the tires listed will be worse. I cannot and will not speak for the Grabbers. But my experience with the Firestone A/T was pretty poor on my last SUV. I actually moved up to the Duelers which were amazingly better.

You may want to take a look at the Cooper Discoverer AT and the Yokohama Geolander AT. I have ran both successfully on SUV's, they are aggressive enough to not look odd on a Jeep but have very very good road manners.

Default Duelers

I have the stock duelers on the 18 inch rims.
I can say for a fact that duelers handle well in the rain... I live in Florida. They also have a great tread life and have done pretty well in a variety of terrain. I do not have any experience in the snow with them.

I love my AT2's in the rain, hardly any difference between the dry and the wet they are so good. Great on the snow, on ice they are a little iffy but better than the KM's I had on before.

If you're looking for one of the two, I would go with the firestones. They're probably a little cheaper, and I have Firestone Destination A/T's on my JK and they've been fine for every terrain.

I've had Firestone Destination A/Ts on my Liberty and Wrangler and love them. They have been great in rain, high standing water, the snowy/icy mix we just had the other day, deep sand and anything else I decide to drive through. I have yet to lose traction during normal driving conditions. I say normal because I went playing in the snowy/ice mix to see how far I could go and lose traction, only then did I slide. I love my Wrangler and The Firestone A/Ts. They are the perfect combo for me!
