First Death Wobble Experience
I had my first ever death wobble experience at 70 mph, pretty scary. I was heading down the interstate on my way to work, hit a small bump coming off a bridge, and all of sudden the front of the vehicle starting shaking like crazy.
I immediately pulled over, got myself together, and preceded to work. This happended yesterday morning, and since then I haven't had a bit of trouble, I even hit that same bump again this morning to see if it would happen, and nothing. I crawled under the vehicle last night thinking it's probably the track bar if anything, but I couldn't find anything wrong.
I'm hoping it's just some weird coincidence.

I was reading in another post and somebody had a similar experience. Some of the forum experts said it could be the ESP or ABS (computer) goi
ng haywire. I do remember the trackbar must be torqued to 125FT/Lbs...good luck tracking it down!

if u have a friend, get him/her into the drivers seat.. get yourself under the front of the jeep so you can see all of the steering components. with the vehicle running..get your friend to turn the wheel in one direction.. and back to center back again, back and forth like that.. watch and listen for any loose components.. try in the other direction as well.. if u find anything loose..bring the wheels back to straight and torque it. Take it for a test drive and recheck doing the same method. most likely cause is loose track bar.. post what u find.

By the way, to inspect the trackbar and trackbar bolt holes, you really need to remove the trackbar.

I recently had my 2" coil spacers replaced with a set of new 2" coil springs, wondering if something wasn't properly done during installation. The place that did the install have been around for years and specialize in the installation of lift kits.
