Fitting 40s how much lift?
The D30 will NOT hold up to 40s if you do ANY type of wheeling.
The D30 ring and pinion is the weak link, not the axle shafts.
They DO NOT make 5.38s for the D30, it only goes up to 5.13.
Your JK will run like a dog on 40s with an auto, EVEN with 5.13s.
Stay away from B.S. suspension manufacturers like RC and Superlift.
Stick with what works on the JK...TF, FT, RE, EVO.
So, what I'm trying to say, even if you found a set of 40s cheap, in the long run, you're going to spend LOTS of money building a rig that can roll around on 40s and not break anything.

Put a Dana 60 in it. There is no cure. Teeth can only get so small (such as a 5.13) and they are too small to have much strength to them. Combine it with a small carrier and it's waiting for problems when you put a heavy load on them (40s).

And put a 150 shot of nitro on it to get you over the hard stuff.
