Fix ride without lifting
I asked this question a few months ago and what I was told was either a budget boost or also to look for the stiffer rubicon suspension components (I think #19 springs and heavier duty shocks). I am not sure what model you have but you might want to look at your current set up.
I looked under my 2011 JKUR a few months ago and noticed I have the #18 springs so those are almost the stiffest the jeeps come with. After a recent trip I had a canoe loaded on the top (Yakima rail system rack), tons of camping equipment in the back and a camper being towed behind and I did notice some sagging. I don't know if it would be the same amount of sag as if it were just bumpers and a winch but if/when I am ready I will most likely just do a 2.5" lift to combat the added weight.
However, I do remember seeing a thread on here last week about a company making super lightweight bumpers, you may want to look into those as well.

1. How does the jeep handle compared to stock, have you experienced "bump steer" where the wheel pulls one way or the other on dips, heavy brake or humps in the road?
2. Did you get the kit with shocks or without, and if you put on new shocks what brand / model?
I am very close to choosing Teraflex after reading till I'm cross-eyed about the various lifts and crossing off brands due to owner complaints. I don't want a huge lift, just enough clearance for 35" tires when lifted and get rid of that "kicked in the behind look". All owners of AEV seem to love their ride after lifting but the general consensus seems to be superior road handling and ok off road but problems with bracket clearance on the trail. As with most on the forum my Jeep is a daily driver on the road but when I hit the trails they tend to be rough fire trails to mild rock crawling. I may be asking for too much but I want the best of both worlds. I want to put a good lift kit within reason and want it done right the first time. Unfortunately those EVO coil overs are just out of reach.
We are running the leveling kit not the 2.5" lift. The is no bump steer. It handles much like stock with a more aggressive stance. You can fit 35" tires on it with wheel spacers and it won't rub if you stay on the highway. I have 35" BFG KM2s on mine and they rubbed off road when disconnected. I trimmed the fenders and the rock rails. I haven't had anything rub yet.

I had the tf 2.5" coil lift with 1" spacers in the front. I lime the front a little higher. I had no bump steer at all! It rode alot better then stock. I bought mine with fox shocks from off road warehouse they run a awesome deal on these lifts and have top notch service.
