I mounted mine between the spare and the gate, on the flat spot of the tire carrier to the right of the brake light.

At Silver Lake, you have to put the flag on the front of the vehicle. We put ours on the front tow hook, we bough a bracket from one of the stores in town.

Oh, we had a blast

Yeah, i made a little bracket that attatches to the metal bumper behind the plastics. Should be more than good enough for the weekend.

Went to Silver lake last week. I drilled a 3/4" hole in the plastic on the top of the front bumber and a smaller hole in the steel portion. I picked up a rubber plug for $.50 at the local hardware and it looks factory when the flag is not in. I had it done in 10 min. and had zero issues all last week. Climbed test hill 4 times.

It was hard to get the auto to shift when I wanted it to. Best results on test were 4 low overdrive off and 2/3 up let up slightly on gas and shift to 2nd and then matt it. This resulted in down shifting to 2nd and rpms to 5K range. If I didn't get 2nd gear I never made it. Good luck had a blast I'll try to post pics this weekend.

What tires and air pressure were you running? 3.21 or 4.10?

Tires 285/70/17 BFG AT at 12psi one day and 9psi all around the next and 4:10's. The 12psi day the sand was a little more solid but I think I could have gone to 7 or 8 the side walls seem pretty stiff on the tires.
