Default Flashpaq

Does anyone know if a new SC flashpaq has to be updated before it can be used. I'm having trouble with the software like so many others, and customer support for superchips is out for the holidays. Do I dare plug this thing into my jeep?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I wouldn't sweat it with a 2007. I can't imagine their are many stones left unturned for on of the earliest JKs.

I plugged it in, brand new, without updating on my 2007 and it worked great.

No worries plug it in. I had the same trouble. Their software sucks. I plugged it in anyway. It worked fine. Later I took it to a local shop that sells them at had them update it for me.

Man that sucks. I'm going to try it tomorrow, and I'll post the results. I'm just hoping I don't end up with a jeep that doesn't start.

The update downloaded fine, but I got the wrong user name or password error, then when I got that to work it switched to my e-mail address needs to be verified. In my experience when that happens you receive and e-mail that has a link to respond to that verifies your e-mail address, but no e-mail arrived. Sounds like it's a case of great product crummy software from what I read on the forum. Maybe I'll be one of the lucky one's where it works strait away.

Plugged in my SC Flashpaq a few minutes ago, and Merry Christmas to me it installed without a hitch Only thing left to do is drive and enjoy. I'm trying the tow tune as it seems popular with the JK Forum crowd. Will post my impressions later.

One more shout out to the sales department at Northridge 4X4. Their customer service rocks, and I can't wait to do more business with those guys. They support us, let's support them. Buy a product from Northridge and I doubt you'll be dissappointed, but if you are I have a feeling from my experience they will take great care of you.

Happy in Montana

Page 4 STEP 1 Download easy update software Run it and update your software.

And that was before plugging in for the first time. Don't forget that programmers are not made the day you order it. Some sit on shelves for a while and reflashes on your jeep come and go, sometimes many times before your particular programmer was even built.

My flashpaq won't install anything. Every time I try it says there is no calibration for my vehicle and that I need to update. So after updating it says that my vehicles calibration was not recognized and that they will email me the correct one when its available. And on top of it all they're closed until January 3rd. Kudos to superchips. Yay.
