Flashpaq Auto Shift Points
I remember reading some stuff a while ago where people had tried it and really didn't see much of an improvement. The pre-set tunes that the Superchips comes with are pretty much optimized. I do remember reading something on the Su[perchips forum about benefits to those that live in higher altitudes or something like that but it took quite a bit of trial and error to get it right. Our 3.8's really aren't the type of engine that can be fine tuned much more than what you get with the basic tunes. in my opinion, I'd skip the $50 up charge and just stick with the built inones.
Cool, that's what I needed to know, if it made any type of difference... I'm running the 93 tune... Debating if that over kill, with the gas prices or if 87 would be about the same...Or possibly the Tow Tune... I'm rarely on the interstate..
I'v ebeen running a Superchips for over 2 years now and have gone through ervery built in tune. I ran the tow tune for the longest time then recently switched to the 93 tune for last several months. For the heck of it, two weeks ago I switched back to stock tune just to see how different it would be. I had less throttle response, it felt sluggish and my mpg suffered a bit. Last night I switched to the 87 tune (since that was what I had in my tank) and I was pleasantly surprised at how much better it is. I think I will run the 87 for a while.
So my advice, return to stock, drive it for a while, then switch to 87 and you will not miss the 93 tune! LOL!!

Haha, yeah I bet I won't.. lol but I tried the 87 the other day and may not have given it time to relearn.. does it have to relearn stock or is that instant... and about how long did it take to learn the 87 tune?
