One tip i've heard for trimming the flares is to take a piece of carboard and cut it in the shape you want the fenders. Lay it over one fender and trim. Then flip it over and do the other side. This way they are even and match.

ive had no flares on mine for the past few months and i like the look of it....lol my 37's looked tiny w/o the flares, looks good with the 40's and no flares though
