Not so sure I'd be using the bushwackers as a step
They're only attached with small screws, I am happy with mine though

I have had ma Xenon's for three years and have had no problems. The hardware is good and they are solid. I cannot imagine using any plastic fender flare as a step.....JMO.....My are smooth and not painted.

if you're determined to buy a set of flat fenders, i would go with the bushwackers as mentioned. even the narrower xenons sag and they are so hard that a good hit to them will do body damage - trust me, i have seen it happen more than once. the bushwackers have more give to them and so far, the hits i've taken to mine have not resulted in any body damage. still, i prefer chopped factory fenders

I didnt like the fit and finish on my Xenons and they were a PITA to put on. Had to drill my own holes to line them up.

Thanks Wayoflife yeah I was thinking of trying that for now but I like the finished look of the Buschwackers compared to the chopped. I should be safer with Buschwacker If I hit things because the material allows them to flex.

I think I will try out the fender flare chopping for now whats the best way for me to do it so then if I want I could easily take off the flares later?

I think I will go with serveapurpose's style flares
