Plus being easier to install and adjust as well I am guessing. I just never thought of ever getting just uppers...

IMHO there's too much confusion re: lowers vs uppers. Keeping it simple, adjust length of lowers to center the upper & lower bump stops, adjust uppers to correct caster & pinion angle.
