Default Flomaster hush power ii

Is anyone running this exhaust as a straight replacement for the stock muffler? Is anyone running this muffler with any setup at all? Looking for some feed-back on it. I have a lead on a good price for a brand new one, and i don't know if its worth while or not.

I am running the hush power with my Ripp headers and MBRP cat-back. It is recommended by Ripp. I have never run my headers without it. I can vouche for the fact that I have zero drone nor do I have a ricey sound. These are the two main reasons this is recommended.

There are a few guys on this board that have run with and without. Hopefully they will respond to your question.

Yeah, i wont be running anything like that ripp kit for a long time! Someday . . . . But for now, i'm thinking of just swapping out my stock muffler for this one, but i don't know how thats going to sound, or if its even a good idea. My knowledge of muffler/exhaust systems is pretty limited.

If your looking to just replace the muffler you might talk to the Dynomax rep here. They seem popular. A lot of guys like DB exhasut by Corsa with the dual outlets and there is always a 40/50 series flowmaster.

I'm not sure I would use the hush power as my muffler. I'm not an expert either and I am curious as to how it would work but I will tell you that hush power is probably less than twice the size of a regular muffler.

I read on some charger forums that it may be a little loud and might drone if used alone. Obviously they have V8 engines so the results may be different.

Do some searching on the internet if nobody chirps in that has tried this.

Yeah, i've tried a few searches, but not much luck finding anyone that has done this with a jeep. I figured this is the best place to find someone that has tried this out.

Hey I have the Corsa db off road axle back and love it. It looks/sounds great and performs well. I recomend it. It bolts up perfectly to factory exhaust hanger locations.

Here is a video of my flomaster 40 series with just the muffler. It was one of the first things I did as u can see my jeep was pretty stock then. Hope it helps. The only thing I have done diff now is I have it tucked above my rear axle and dumped and its sounds way better now

Did you ever install the Hushpower? Curious to know how it worked out.
