Floor jack
 

Have a 2011 with a 3" suspension lift, 35" Nitto trail grapplers and I am looking for a floor jack with a high lift to rotate my tires and change out my clutch when needed. Anyone have an idea where to get one? Not looking for anything other than floor jacks. Thanks!

We've gotten rid of the crappy scissor jack and I hated to see the hi lift jack go.. just got to heavy.. so I was looking for a floor jack that would fit into the cubby hole in the back of the jeep.. got the craftsmen 2 1/4 ton jack.. and although this would not serve your purpose.. I believe the next 1 or 2 models up would left the jeep high enough, (Craftsman 3.5 Ton Garage Jack or The Craftsman 3 ton Service Jack) and if I recall there is a discounted kit which included the jack stands and I'd recommend that you get this option.. I mean if this is just for shop purposes.. and not for inside the jeep.

^^^that's what I was going to say as well. Anything taller is going to cost some serious coin. You shouldn't even need anything that high. Jack up from the axles and you will get plenty of height. What you really need is tall jack stands, which you can use to place under the frame when you want to work on suspension.

Your post implied using the jack to do work. A jack should only be used to lift or lower, never to hold a vehicle up. You lift, grab the jack stands, and lower.

Those jack stands are horribly lightweight. I would never crawl under a Jeep on them. The jack is okay, though, but I'd recommend something a bit heavier duty if for the garage. I carry one under my rear seat, that's how small and light it is. When changing a tire on White Rim Trail the jack sunk into the roadbed then allowed the Jeep to push over slightly sideways, bending the frame of the jack and lowering the height of the Jeep just enough that we couldn't get the tire on--which is how I ended up using the shovel that I carry on my hood to change a flat tire, LOL:

Guess I'm old fashioned been using them for years and never had an issue, thou I hated getting rid of the Hi lift.. it was my work horse just go to heavy and when the arms go limp or numb.. bad case of the dented hood seeing how we used the hood mount.. If I was able to have kept the Hi lift.. I would have to upgraded the bumpers, and add sliders etc.. cause the new JK bod and parts are tin foil or plastic.. One couldn't jack a JK up from one side without bending something.. wasn't like this on the ole TJ..

They used to be much heavier--I got a set with my first (now bent as seen in the video) jack and they were fine. Honestly, I bought the replacement jack about six months ago and was given the "free" jack stands and took one look at them and gave them away to a friend with a Honda.

Ha I hear yeah sort of like my 4 point lug wrench.. (Spider Lug) have had since the 70's and still has a slight bend in it.. always looking for yard sale items nation wide.. and thing is, they set these heavy duty stand out by the curb and the trash/scrap guys get the and take them to scrap yard for cash.. I'd take one of those older stands any day.

Used this jack and HF 6 ton stands to install my 2.5" MetalCloak coils. Jack was fine but I'd probably going to pick up a set of 12 ton stands. I was close to the upper maximum height on the 6 ton stands to get enough droop for the axles since the MC coils are so long.

I have a large floor jack for in the garage, but keep a bottle jack in place of the factory scissor jack. I built a piece that goes on top of it to grab the axle. I use it off road, and the highlift on a D ring as a "jack stand"
