FlowMaster 44 (or 40) versus 50
Hi Everyone,
I know there are a lot of exhaust threads on this board... and I have probably been through most of them twice.
I have narrowed my choice for a new muffler down to the FlowMaster 44 Off-Road (or even the 40) and the FlowMaster 50.
Do any of you have the FlowMaster 50 installed, but wished you would have gone with the 44 or 40?
or...

I have found sound bites for the 44/40; but, I haven't found a sound bite for the 50 on a JK. (At least I don't remember seeing one.)
I know this is a personal choice thing.
Is muffler sound like tires... more is better?
I plan on using my rig on trails and some around town. The only highway miles will be going to parks... at least until I breakdown for a trailer. So, I am thinking that the louder the sound the better.
I'd also be interested in knowing if there are any regrets about relocating if that is the route you went, or with not relocating.
Thanks for your help.

you should look at the super 40. I'm running them on my dodge ram. Want to talk about load!!! Or if you just want a stupid load exhaust look at putting a cutout on your rig. Just some food for thought. But I would deffiently look into the super 40
Thanks for the link. I forgot that I saw that yesterday because I was looking for a link with a single, more stock type tailpipe.
Any idea if there is a clip for this out there?
Thanks
Jeff
not me but check out this thread. Flowmaster 40 series but with 2 cats cut out. Sounds pretty much like mine just a tad bit deeper

Not flowmaster...but full relocation cat-back system with a muffler designed specifically for the 3.8L to maximize HP/torque and sounds great!

Thanks for your post.
Exhaust sounds are a personal preference, I suppose. I listened to MBRP's video/sound clips earlier this week... I am looking for something a little different.
I'll trust you that your system may maximize output; but, althought that would be a benefit, it isn't at the top of my list. Knowing that I will be hearing the exhaust all the time I am in the JK, I want to do my best to find somethings as close as possible to the sound that I have in my head.
You guys have great products. I just prefer something a little different in this case.
Jeff
