Default Flowmaster 817437

ALL- I am a huge Flowmaster fan, and I am a not a fan at all of the massive stock muffler (I think OEM mufflers are largely exercises in restriction maximization). Has anyone used the Flowmaster 50 system listed in the title? It's a little more than dynomax, but nothing sounds like a Flowmaster! If you have used it, did you notice a mileage/performance increase, did it drone, and does it last well? It says stainless, so it seems like it would be good to go. Also, any issues with install?
Thanks-

Well I think I am going to go ahead and hook it up. I found the system at autoanything.com for $358 with free shipping as opposed to 400-410 most places. That, a trans cooler and some tires (thinking treadwrights) and I will be mission complete on mods.

dude...no need to buy a kit, i bought a Flowmaster Super44 and had it tucked up nice and high in the stock location. The entire install including the muffler was under $200. Had to eventually sell the Flowmaster though cause the wife is a wussie and couldn't handle the drone ( it was pretty bad ). I am going to eventually get the 50 series cause everything i have heard about that one says there is no annoying drone and just enough growl. Here are some pics of the Super44 installed on mine when i had it

I hear you on the just buy the muffler or custom weld up approach. I have done that a few times. I just like the fact that the flowmaster system is stainless, has the three chamber, and its blacked out except for the tip. Plus I can do it myself on my time rather than have to drop is off and miss time with the fam.

Howdy,
Have you looked at the flowmaster 60? It is the only one that is designed for the 6 cylinder engine. I had one installed on mine in the stock location. It is really deep sounding and has no interior drone. It is without a doubt the deepest sound from a 6 cylinder that I have ever heard. Have a goodun!!!!

I'll let ya'll know how the 50 sounds. I ordered it yesterday afternoon. I am thinking I'll have it hooked up next weekend. Hoping for a mellow rumble at idle and the good sounds when you get on it. I really like the 40 series, but in the interest of 900 mile road trips and kids in the back seat, we'll go with the 50!

I cant recall if that model number is the SS but if it is i have that muffler installed on my '11. Drone below 30kph which is odd but everywhere else it just sounds deep. I went to a mitsubishi dealership to see a buddy of mine and his co workers asked if i did the hemi swap. It sounds really good at idle.

I can take a few video's on my go Pro if you really want just pm me.
