Default Fluid level for Solid Diff. covers on X model

Hello everyone,
I just ordered some Solid Diff. covers (On sale for $65.00 each) and LubeLocker gaskets for the front and rear of my 2dr X and need some advice on the fluid levels. I have the D-30 up front and the D-44 on rear. The factory specs are 2.1 Pints front, and 4.75 Pints rear. I know the Solid covers have more volume, so how much more than factory specs should I go. I think I read on here that the rubicons take 1.5 Qt. (3 Pint) in front and 2.5 Qt. (5 Pint) in rear with the Solid covers, but since I have a D-30 in front I'm thinking less than 3 Pint for front? I plan on running Mobile 1- 75w90 gear oil and hope on getting this little chore done next weekend. If any of you X owners have switched to the Solid covers please let me know how much oil you used.
BTW- I have 3.73 gears if that makes a difference.
Thanks.

for me, front and back I filled them to where the fluid was to the top of the bolts at the bottom of the axel tubes.. I found a picture on this site about this somewhere....

here it is.. Thanks to Ronjenx

I made a dip stick with a small piece of paper and dipped it into the fluid and cresed it at the fill hole.. then moved it to the outside of the cover and looked to see where it ended up. then adjusted accordingly.

DO NOT fill the front up to the solid fill hole, I did, around two quarts, and I was wiping oil off my front axle for a week! you can put as much as you like, but any extra oil will be blown out the axle breather tube, drip down your shock, and make a nice home on your control arm......
I think it is around 1.5 quarts for the front.

Hrmm, I'm not certain the SOLID covers are "higher volume" than stock. They might look like that from the outside, but I don't believe they allow you to run a whole lot more gear oil than factory covers. I filled both front and back to factory spec and they're fine.

Note: I would implore you to read a thread I started a few weeks ago on SOLID covers and Lube Lockers. You'll find it most interesting... LINK

factory spec is what you run no matter what. Just cause you can fit more doesn't mean you are supposed to
