I ran my wire along the driverside rail, back to the plug that comes up under the driver seat. Rather than mount the switch in the dash, I mounted mine on the seat rail right under the big seat handle. Nice and out of the way. No problem knowing whether the fogs are on or off because the switch with the PIAA's has the red and green LED's. I have no problem seeing the faint glow from these LED's on the side of my door panel.
