I think the guys at Tribe 4x4 in the DFW area are getting some of these made. Not sure on cost or anything, just thought I'd share.

I picked up one of the ones q-tec sells from a guy on CL, but the best idea I've seen so far was last weekend a guy from Military Jeepers has a BMX peg bolted in on each side by one of the hinge bolts, it was so simple that it made me feel stupid for not thinking of it sooner!

i took motorcylce pegs and used them with a longer bolt from home depot and some washers

that would be the easiest way to do it... you could just unscrew one of the hinge bolts, drop the bolt into the peg and screw it back in. easy.

I used a BMX peg from Walmart and threaded rod from menards. Try and post a pick later.

Here is how I made mine. (Idea taken from others on here). I have subsequently added rubber washers to sit against the top and bottom of the hinge, to avoid the metal on metal contact.
