I wonder why spidertrax did not mention this in their instructions !

However, there was an inner space on the back of the spacer which allowed the spacer to sit flush, I wonder if that was intentional ?

because not all vehicles have them. the JK does and, even though you "might" be okay, i don't know if i would chance it. the assembly washers are not a precise machined part or even installed like one and can sit off to one side or the other, there is a chance it can get under the spacer. maybe it's not a big deal but again, why risk it? while i have only seen a few wheel spacer failures over the years, all of them have been the result of install error.

I hate that you are right... why risk it ? It's just a drag as I wasted my money and time installing it wrong in the first place

Default I did the same thing.

I installed mine and left them on as well. After I realised it though I just became way too paranoid and removed them. I don't think it would be an issue as the spider trax spacers had a good sized hollow around it anyway but like stated earlier why chance it.

It is actually mentioned in step 1:

"Remove drum/rotor retainer clip(s) if present."

I stand corrected, it is in fact written. Will I have to buy new loctite after I remove and re-install the spacers ?
