Default Fox shock ?

First off I know shocks have been discussed 110 times. I've even participated in a few.

My brother in law just joined the jk group and is looking for shocks.
He narrowed it down to Teraflex tuned fox or the cd adjustable fox shocks.

We were wondering wondering what shock he should get? Would the adjustable be better or the Teraflex tuned?

He has the Teraflex long arm lift.

Is this a daily driver?? It really depends on his intended driving habits....pavent vs offroad.

Fox makes an excellent product. The tuned would be less to play with than the adjustable, however he also might want to consider the RRD's by Rock Krawler. We run the Remote Ressy in our JK and it is a night and day difference compared to all the other shocks we have driven on.

What type of driving will these be used for? Crawling? High speed?

TeraFlex tuned Elkas are incredible, especially on the long arm kits.

The TeraFlex tuned Fox are very nice as well.

It is his daily driver. He has only had it for a couple months so its hard to say how much off roading he will do I the future. So far hes been taking his jk out every weekend. I have standard (valved for jk) resi fox shocks on my jk and he has the teraflex 9550 right Now on his jk. He likes the way mine rides and is having a hard time keeping up while not getting beat to death.

He's decided on fox because he likes mine. I just think he wants something a step better than me.

Hope this info helps.

Edit: we do a lot of crawling but the dirt roads to the trails and the flat spots in between obsticals is where I really go fast. (Wash boards, bumpy trails, ect...)
