Default Fox shocks question

Hey Fox shocks owners I have a quick question for ya. So everyone I have spoken with says that the Fox shocks are far superior to the stock shock... OK that's a gimme. What I'm interested in knowing is how are they superior for daily driving. Is it a stiffer ride? Less lean in the corners? What is it that makes it better on the road? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.

if you are just looking for a better than stock DD shock you should look at OME or bilstien. In my opinion the foxs are not worth the money if you are just looking for on road comfort. the differences will only become apparent when offroad, high speed offroad to be exact, if you are talking about fox RR.

sorry i i know that does not answer your question, but it may save you some money.

Yeah, that's great info. Honestly I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do just yet. I'm getting ready to purchase the TF 4dr coil leveling kit for my 2dr that is on order. I was thinking that while I would have the Jeep all jacked up I could swap out the stock shocks...for what, still not sure. I'll be using this as a DD most of the time but really want to have some off-road adventures in and out of state. I've had Bilsteins on some of my previous vehicles and I can say those are great shocks for the price. Any other thoughts are welcome. Thanks.

By high speed i mean desert pre running type stuff, not normal driving/mudding/crawling. RR shocks stay much cooler than a traditional shocks. this reduces shock fade. I figure that if you are getting shock fade from the activities you do with your jeep than you need RR, if not, then a traditional shock is fine.

in all likely hood running stock axles with larger tires at the speeds needed to use a rr shock to its full potential you are going to be breaking a whole bunch of factory shit. so dont that a pair of RR shock is your ticket strait to the Baja.

That is what iv read and what i believe. there are people who say their RR shocks ride better in all condition and that you dont need high speeds to really feel the difference. this could be true or they are trying to justify the 1000 dollars of shocks they just bought

i figure that even if you dont need the capability they provide they do look great. if you can afford then and they make you smile every time you walk towards your jk, then they are well worth it.
