I have to say that from a very recent experience fox shocks company is great. There customer service is unbelievable. I have a set of fox res shocks for my jk that are 11 months old and became very corroded due to me living on the beach. Now I don't live on the coast anymore. I took my shocks to fox service in San Diego and they completely rebuilt all 4 shocks with new cans and resivors in 2 days and didn't charge me a penny. Very happy with them. And by the way the ride great! And are rebuild able and can be valved as well. With that said, kings are great too.

Maybe he is referring to the Recon Edition King coilover shock they sell?? hxxp://www.rebeloffroad.com/product-p/roe-king-coil.htm

I have no clue about shocks other than Bilstein since that's all I've run but now Im rethinking my recent suspension upgrade and wishing I had looked into a bolt on coilover......

Edit** This was in response to a question on a softer King shock that I think has been edited....

I was the rep you talked to today on the phone. I do apologize if you felt I was short with you in any way. When you called you seemed to be most concerned with the warranty time on KING Shocks as opposed to FOX Shocks. Unfortunately we are not the manufacturer of KING Shocks so we do not have control over the warranty offered. Offroad Evolution does have specific valving for our spring rates in our EVO Spec KING Shocks we offer for all the EVO MFG Suspension Systems from the Enforcer to the Double Throwdown. I also let you know that we have many customers running other shocks such as Bilstein and FOX which are valved for the JK true but not to EVO MFG's spec for our various suspension systems. Hope that clears it up a little better

Thanks,
Jake

Pretty cool to have two reps from EVO step up and take responsibility for what seemed to start as a less than perfect phone inquiry. Looks like EVO customer service is trying to help with all of your questions.

The EVO guys have been great at various events and answered all my lame a$$ noob questions. I'm not at a point to start calling and asking random what if questions. That's why I post up my Qs here and hope evo and others respond. They almost have always chimed in.

That said, there are other shops that also do great work and I would shop around your questions and see the different answers you get. But then you'll need to ask about the other kits. The enforcer was built for the custom king shocks, all EVO specific stuff. You want a dif shock, you'll need to ask about a dif lift kit. Evo seems to sell and install all/most other quality products.

The Kings have this warranty because they are a race shock and are built to be abused. King has no control over how the shock is installed, If the shocks installed improperly wrong bump stops, no bump stops etc. The shock can be damaged.

The King's have been the best match and valved for our EVO Plush ride springs. They can be also be revalved, rebuilt as needed.

With that said, we do sell Fox, Bilstein and any of your favorite white bodied shocks. All these have different warranty that may suite your needs
Thank you for clearing that up.. I understand now that if I want the over all best performance on road and off I would have to go with your Evo spec 2.5 shocks with the enforcer kit due to them being made and tested for this kit only..

I just felt like I couldn't get a straight forward answer when I called earlier and we were just going around the tree...

One of the biggest reason we work closely with King is to ensure our customers receive exactly what they ask for, FOR THEIR OFF ROADING STYLE. No two Jeepers are the same, so when a customer comes to us asking for a suspension solution, one of our first questions for them is what they like to do off road. If they wish a stiffer or softer ride for their JK, we can call King and have shocks built to their exactly requirement.

Our coilover systems do have proprietary valving, and any pair of shocks we build with a customer can also have customization integrated. King is one of the few shock manufacturers that will tailor a solution to an individual order.

One of Kings greatest features is their in-house designed compression adjuster option available on their JK bolt on shocks, as well as 2.0 and 2.5 IBP coilovers. This allows the customer to not only have a custom valved shock built, but again receive a wide range of adjustability.
