I would go with the fox shocks over the king, they're pretty much the exact same performance wise and fall into the same price range. But I would also look into the Bilstein shocks since those are very comparable to the foxes and kings.

I have the King's 0-2 per say, but your going to need 1" bump stop in front not to bottom out on the shock and a 5/8's block for the bump stop for the back. Then your going to need a adjustable track bar to center your front axle for not to have the passenger side shock rub on the frame at full extended travel.

What can I say, I love them

EVO: King Shocks, Jeep JK Shocks w/Compression Adjusters KIT

PS: You will need 2" lift or go real slow on bumps on city street.

So close to being to go wheel again

The Fox 2.0 with reservoir and 8 way adjustability are a great shock for you aplication. That being said, I think they are designed for a 4" lift(unless they have a no lift model)

King are definitely one of the nicest shocks you can get. However, with that small of a lift, I don't think it's worth it. Might as well save some money and get Fox or Bilstein.

Are you planning to wheel it much? You're probably only going to notice a difference between expensive and lower end if you're wheeling it. Won't notice as much on pavement.

I have the TF tuned fox shocks and they are great. Firm but handle well.

Could we toss in a third? ELKA! probably the best shock you can buy.
