Default Freedom Panel Soft Top

Does anyone know of a source to buy a Soft Top replacement for the hardtop freedom panels? It would be a nice option to leave the freedom panels at home and not need to take up all that room to stow them, but still be able to cover up if it pours on the way home.

Quadratec.com has a large number of soft tops. Also good prices and fast shipping. I've used them numerous times and never been disappointed.

You're wanting a soft top to only the front seats while the rest of the hard top is still on? I can't say I've ever seen one like that. I guess you might be able to run a bikini top under your hard top, not sure though

Yep that is correct. This way I dont have to store and lug around the freedom panels but can still cover up if(more like when) it rains. I just wanted to make sure nobody knows of a solution already before I re-invent the wheel. Im thinking if I cant find something, that I could start with a bikini header then build a bar to fasten into those big freedom panel screws in the rear that would keep everything from flapping around.

I just use a trail cover.. If it rains, cover it up.. If you are looking to be able to drive around while its raining, the freedom panels themselves are the only water tight solution I have ever seen.

In the summer here in Texas, where it doesn't rain all that often, I take the rear off and leave the freedom panels on, mostly because of the sun.. If it does rain, I stay bone dry and it never flaps.. The back gets wet but there isn't anything back there that can get ruined.. A bikini top would work I guess, but you are still going to get wet and I have never seen one that doesn't flap some.. Maybe I just don't quite understand why the freedom panels are a hassle for you? They fit nicely in their bag behind the rear seat without taking up too much room in my opinion..

I recommend the spider web shades!!! Best purchase ever! Only had it one month but I am able to keep it on under my soft and hard top/ freedom panels.Best if all it doesn't require a header and never flaps even going 80 mph on hwy. it is a pretty simple design and if you search there is a thread on here on how to make one yourself for around $30 instead of paying $70 like I did.

X2 on Spiderweb shade. Works great. Also like the many color options.

Dognights,

The closest thing to what you're looking for would be a bikini top. We carry all the major brands of Bikini Tops. Your best bet would be to get a bikini that covers only the front 2 seats and then pull your freedom panels out and install the header and bikini.

You can also look at a Dirty Dog Sun Screen. You can run this under your hardtop and it will protect you from the sun and some rain. It's a mesh top, so it won't be 100% water tight, but it will keep you dry long enough to get home.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for all of the replys. I am really looking for something that will fold down a bit smaller then the freedom panels being stored in the back, but at the same time offer the same weather protection. Something like a spiderwebshade wont work for my area. Im in South Florida and almost every afternoon we get hard rain for at least 20 mins. Ive looked all over for a solution someone already came up with but havent been able to find anything really. Most likely I will buy something like a Bestop header bikini top then build a foldable frame that will secure to those large Freedom panel fasteners in the roll bar. If anyone has any other ideas or sources feel free to add.

maybe something like this Woukd work for you. im looking for something similar because where I'm at, the fog rolls in unpredictably and I want to be able to venture out without the hard top. They say you can drive with this on and also have the 4 door model
