Front 1" spacer install question
Where is the best place to put jack stands or the floor jack to get the coils in the front out quick? I know to take loose sway bar bottom bolt and bottom of shock bolt.
Thanks all. I have read thru the Project JK write up. I was looking for info to possibly just use a floor jack to keep tires on front since I am only doing 1" front spacers for sag. Saw some did it tires on in short order. Any info appreciated. How tall of a floor lift was used?

I may have to do this as well. Were you able to install the spacers without removing the tires? If so would you recommend doing that way, or would it be worth it to just take them off?
I'll be doing this in the driveway and not on a lift were I can stand underneath it, so I figured the tire removal is for easier access.

IO installed on driveway with a jack stand and a floor jack.
1. Took bolts out of bottom shock holder and bottom sway bar.
2. Jacked to raise under frame rail after setting parking brake, putting in park, and chocking rear tires.
3. I put jackstand under rail to hold and then loosened tire bolts on the side I was working.
4. I then put floor jack under normal axle jacking point and raised the front tire off the ground to remove.
5. Lowered front axle but had to watch to ensure the brake line wasn't pulled too hard.
6. Removed spring - installed spacer under the jeep coil stop - jacked up front axle.
7. Aligned shock in bottom mount as I raised the axle and installed bolt with nut hand tight.
8. Mounted tire once high enough with lug nuts hand tight.
9. Lowered front axle and tightened tire lugnuts, installed sway bar bottom bolt and tightened, tightened shock bottom bolt.
10. Put jack under rail and raised to remove the jackstand. Lowered Jeep.
Repeat on other side. Took maybe an hour taking time and making sure everything was tight and I did it safe.

By the way, there is no way my jackstands and floor jack would raise the jeep high enough to do this procedure without taking tire off to allow greater front flex. I used 3 ton jack stands that went to 21" but my floor jack was 3 ton and only raised the rail to maybe 17-18 inches.
At full height, the front tire was on the ground and coil was still tight in its seat. After removing tire and allowing axel down easy the coil came loose and I pulled out. PAssenger side was harder to get the coil back with the new 1" spacer in place for some reason. Had to push up on it by hand and wedge it in. The driver side was easy and no pushing. Maybe I just didn't get enough flex on passenger side. Don't know.
