Front Aussie Locker and rear detroit locker?
any one running the aussie in the front and detroit in the back? any complaints? noise? anything?
I was going to run the aussie up front and just have LSD in the back but the dealer doesnt think i have LSD in the rear, but he isnt positive, something with some codes they might have changed lol very annoying.
It would suck having to pay 500 bux to add LSD on the rear so id rather do a detroit since its a true locker and cheaper.............I cant afford the ARB's but i wish i could. What does every one think of this setup thanks!
damn does detroit even make a rear locker?

Check around on this site...I got an LSD from a member on here who regeared recently. Best part is it was free. My plans are to throw in an Aussie up front and keep the rear LSD till (if ever) I can afford a new axle and crazier upgrades.
And I am about 95% sure Detroit makes a locker for the rear, I'm just too lazy to check it. For you a better option might be Detroit TrueTracs front and rear. If you do a search on here, you can find info on em. They are about as close to a locker as a limited slip gets. According to my local shop they basically funciton exactly the same as Detroits, except when you get to a point when a locker will stay locked and potentially break axle shafts, u joints, etc., the TrueTrac will un lock. He was trying to sell me on the TrueTrac over the Aussie. Which is still a decision I have to make...

Yes detroit makes a locker for the rear, from what I understand it takes some getting used to driving daily on the street and may not be your best option for a daily driver, but some just deal with it for the added benefits off road.
On icy off camber roads it can be down right treacherous though.
But if price is your concern, and your not willing to deal with the above, have you looked at an Auburn ECTED? It's a fully selectable eclectro magnetically locking differential....it is clutch based in design and will eventually wear out....but it operates as a Limited Slip when not locked, and full spool when locked, they're about 640.00....it's another locker option
