Can you see the break if you break a front axle? Can you still drive if you have a broken front axle? What are the signs to look for? Does anyone make stronger axles for the D30, like chromolly? I've heard the D44 front isn't as strong as one might think, so I thought I'd wait until something stronger comes out that's an easy swap, D60 maybe. Thoughts?

 

Depends on where the break is but yeah, typically you can see it as most of the times the break occurs at the U-joint. There are currently no chromoly front shafts available but Superior will have some out in the next few weeks. As far as strenght goes, with a set of chromoly shafts, they should be good enough for most applications.
