Default Front Axle Shifted Off To One Side, Need advice

Hi, I wasn't sure where to post this, but I have a 2' spring lift installed on my 2011 Rubicon Unlimited, so here goes:

I noticed that my front axle is shifted about 3/4" to 1" off to the passenger side. I noticed this after having my 35's installed. It is very noticeable since one tire sits inward about 1" and the other outward 1". The bump stops are both shifted in the same direction so they will contact on the drivers side "edge" of the stop blocks.

Has anyone had this problem, is it common, and is there a way to adjust it?

I have only driven a few road miles so far, so no damage had been done (yet).

Thanks

Default center you axle

you may need to get an adjustable front trac bar. it should help considering thats what centers your axle under the jeep/frame. also double check your existing trac bar.

Adjustable trackbars are the better solution, but you can add brackets if you are on a budget. If you go the bracket route, be sure to do a little research as some of them cause have a poor design and cause a lot of extra stress.

Are coils the only things that you got? If your swaybars are angled down too far, you should consider longer rear links and moving the stock rears up front. And if the ride is too flighty, you will want to add some form of caster correction. And if the tires are hitting the flares when flexed, you will want to add some bumpstop. And brakeline brackets or extended lines if they are tight. And...

Thanks for the replies.

I have an adjustable track bar installed that came with my kit (I didn't install the kit, and they should have adjusted it correctly). So if I adjust it, the axle should center up correctly?

Yes, unless you are like me and horrible at measuring where center is! Mine has been off center for almost a year now! Will be fixed soon when I re-gear my jeep....or more to the point, someone else regears my Jeep!

Didn't see your post.

I had the Mopar 2" kit installed by the dealer, It cost way too much I know, but I had a good reason for having it delivered lifted. It wasn't to finance the cost, because I paid cash for the Jeep . New swaybar links were installed, along with bump stops, brake line brackets, and a caster kit, so I should be OK for now. It does ride real nice a is.

a 2' (foot) lift!?

jk... anyway, as others said, its not a big deal. nothing will be damaged by it and the way to fix it is an adjustable track bar. i recommend the TeraFlex HD bar. you can install it and then leave it installed during the adjustment procedure. this feature makes it extremely easy to dial in the axle and get it centered without having to keep removing one end and measuring/guessing until its right.

Yea use a tape measure and I measure from the big hole ontop of the spring perch on top to the point on a lug and repeat in the same spot with same lug on other side..

If the dealer did the install, you should take it back to them and make them adjust it correctly.
