Default Front Bumper Skid Plates

What are your thoughts on a front bumper skid plate? I am considering one, if I purchase the AEV front bumper.

Depends on how hard you're gonna wheel. It'll protect your swaybar and steering linkage...plus it looks good, IMHO.

I really like my OR-Fab front skid plate. It does a great job of protecting the e-disco on my 2011 Rubi.

I think you need to think about the type of wheeling you do. If a boulder is big enough to hit your sway bar disco, you are going to have other problems going over it. If you are attempting to climb a "solid" rock face, then will the tires begin to climb before the rock face makes contact with the sway bar disco? this is what you would encounter in Moab. My own experience is that with 37s, my jeep starts to climb the rock face before the sway bar disco is hit. my own personal experience is, I don't need it. Your results may vary.......
