Front D44 E-Locker wiring question . . .
For a bit of background: back in about mid-September, I destroyed my front D30 axle, therefore, I took the opportunity to upgrade to a D44 (Rubicon model from Mopar). I ordered the axle, and after waiting nearly eight (8) weeks from a certain store, I found a slightly used axle locally, and thus canceled the order for the brand new one. I picked up the used axle yesterday afternoon.
The axle is installed
, and I took the JK for a few quick test drives last night. Funny thing was, the JK sat for so long, the battery was completely dead, so it had to be jumped.
Anyhow, everything seems to be working, however, I'm not sure about the E-locker wiring.
On the axle, there are two (2) wire connections (an upper one and a lower one); from my understanding, one is the switch and the other goes to the indicator light. I have the switch wired up to the lower connection (because the upper connector is broken).
Anyhow, if anyone knows the correct way that the axle/E-locker is suppose to wired, any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

The one on top is the locker actuator (this makes it work). The one on the back of the housing is the sensor (this indicates if it is engaged). I was able to make my own plug using some connectors and heat shrink tubing from the local auto parts store, but don't know how bad yours is messed up. Good luck.
I think I have figured out the correct axle wiring connector to use.
Thank you everyone who answered my request for help.
To start, I contacted the original owner of the axle ( I got it second-hand for someone ), and they told me that the UPPER connector was NOT broken when they had it; but more importantly, they had never hooked up the E-locker in their Sahara.
So, since my UPPER connector was broken, I went to the local dealership this afternoon, and after looking at their diagrams and checking the computer, the parts department actually had an UPPER connector in STOCK. Yes, believe it or not! And, according to the diagram, the UPPER connector is the one that actually engages the E-Locker.
So, this evening, I installed the new connector, and wired it up to a switch. However, due to the late hour (and the vast number of beers consumed) I will test it out tomorrow or later in the week.
Thanks for the help.

Why YES they are! They arrived while the JK was down from the axle blow-out; had them Rhino-Lined, and just couldn't wait to get it out on the trail -- but that darn axle was holding the JK back.
During the 7 to 8 weeks that the JK sat on jack-stands in the garage, lots of things got upgraded (with the wife knowing). After the axle install, I finally got to test out the new Fox Shox as well.

Good for you though, that is definitely on my list of stuff to do...
