Default Front Dash Removal

Can someone post a picture of what the dash looks like after a full front dash removal. I want to install my ARB switches between the two air vents on the front dash but I want to make sure there is enough room behind there before I start ripping that thing out. Thanks,

Tony

Yes, there is enough room because that is where the power window switches are mounted on all models with the power convenience package and the base for those switches is much deeper than what your ARB switches would be.

I thought you were talking about the whole dash, its easy to see if they would fit in that spot.

Great, I guess I'll just go ahead with my plan to take that dash apart and install those switches. Thanks for the help.

not to cause a buncha static, but did you ever think of using the daystar lower dash panel? i was going to put my switches between the vents, but decided to use the daystar and it looks real good.

All you need to do is remove the upper panel (where the dashboard is, above the radio) and remove the lower panel (in front of the shifter. There are clips that hold the entire center cestion in. Pull out, and it'll come out.

I did consider it but I have a manual and I could see hitting a switch with the boot. I also wanted them higher up. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I just installed the wiring harness for the ARB High Output compressor. It was a 1-2-3 operation except for finding out how to wire up the dash illumination and the power wire. I ended up connecting the red/yellow to ignition wire behind the left side power outlet on dash. The dash illumination connection was to the orange/grey wire going to the hvac module in front dash. Everything went without a hitch. In fact, I took advantage of the ignition wire and ran my CB into that as well. Now my CB turns off with my Jeep. Pretty cool!!
