Default Front Drive Shaft

I was changing my oil today on my jeep and noticed that where the front drive shaft connects to the transfer case, some grease has started to shoot out. the boot is not torn but it seems that it is coming from right in front of where the clamp is. Is this something i need to be worried about? an easy fix? if this is serious, what will happen when it finally looses all its grease? any information would be greatly appreciated. i have a 07 dr. with 3 " BDS and 35's

thanks a lot!

Try to move your boot back and fourth, you probably just stretched it out and the boot slid back over the splines.

You'll be fine for a while if you broke the seal, just keep it out of the water. You can cut the old clamp off and zip-tie it back where it should be to try and keep the remaining grease in there.

Id change the U joint and make sure it was ok if it was mine.

An ounce of prevention.

I would suggest replacing the whole front driveshaft if you have an unlimited with a 3 inch lift. If flex it hard when off-road you will tear up the boot, the metal clamp hits the trans pan. I suggest a Woods 1310 or 1350
