Default Front ds u-joint?

Jeep is a sahara with 3.5 Rubicon Express lift with about 20,000 miles with lift installed running 35's

Have been using 4wd more than usual due to alot of snow here within the past couple weeks.

Was in 4wd today and noticed a squeak from the front drivers side. Sounds like the u-joint in the front ds. Noise is only in 4wd.

My question is how often does everybody go through u-joints with that much lift? Should I consider a new driveshaft all together?

Lots of variables, some go in a few thousand miles, others are good for years. Flip of the coin.

Grab a cheap/free take-off from someone who has upgraded
Quadratec sells a rebuild kit.

Or since both of those options will just have you repairing or replacing again in the future, just go aftermarket.

If you haven't already, you can pull the DS and run around without it until you get the time/money to replace it.

Any good suggestions for a cheap aftermarket? Looked around for a little bit and Tom Woods and Rubicon Express seem to be the only halfway pocket friendly driveshafts.

Adams. Most cost effective shafts I have seen, and good reviews as well. I have a Woods front shaft now, works great, zero complaints, but I would likely go with Adams if I was in the market again.

Just went out to Adams website, looks like the prices jumped recently? Since I wouldn't be saving $100, I'd grab another Woods...

I think im going to go with an Adams, my question is....is it worth the extra money to get the t-case and pinion yoke?

Also, anybody on here have any experience with these shafts??
