Default Front End Flighty

What have people done to the front end of the JK when it feels like it is wandering down the road? I didn't know if I need a steering stabilizer, or Woods relocator? I am installing ARB covers, so whatever I do has to fit over these. Thanks.

New steering stabilizer and the Wood's relocation kit will likely not fix the flighty steering. The answer will depend on your vehicle. Two door or four door? Lifted? How high? What brand?

installing a heavy duty steering stabilizer is just a bandaid that will serve only to mask or hide whatever problem you are having - in this case, a flighty front end. i can tell you that i am running 37" on about 5" of lift now and WITHOUT A STEERING STABILIZER and without any problems. likewise, unless you have adjustable control arms and an adjustable front track bar, the most an alignment shop can do is recenter your steering wheel. please, save yourself the money and DO NOT get an alignment or a new steering stabilizer.

the only way to address your flighty front end is to add more positive caster and the best way to do that is with adjustable control arms. if you are on a budget, i would recommend that you get adjustable lower arms. lengthening them until you have about 6° of positive caster will do the trick for you.
