Front end rattle.
before anyone freaks (which i hope does not happen) I tried using search....lol
Last week I brought my jeep into a garage that installed my Currie leveling kit, as I heard a rattle when I would drive over bumps / washboard.
I figured it was the adjustable swaybar links. Nope. they said everything int he suspension is tight.
So I went on an offroad trip up a pole line, here in Ontario....and now that I am back, my shocks are pooched (this is another issue, should they die after 2 months, and only one hard offroad trip?), and i hear that rattle on every bump, even the small ones.
i dont know if that would be the shocks, because when I bouce the front end of the jeep to show people the pooched shocks nothing happens, no noise nothing.
when i hit the bumps it rattles 2 to 4 times, and then stops....unless i hit another bump of course.
it seems to be coming from the drivers side.
Any tips would be great!!

well,
I can push on the front bumper, and the whole jeep wants to lift off ground.
in other words, SUPER soft shocks....which according to Rancho who i called to tell them about they say "those shocks are bad and we cant warranty them because you're in canada"
Anyway, thats the best I can tell yah without taking them off.

When I push down and let go, they bouce about 3 or 4 times.
I dont know if this is what's causing the rattle as this is another issue. The rattle was there before I noticed the shocks were blown. (unless it was a sign that they were going?)

Is the heatsheild located more on the drivers side?
should I remove or see if I can tighten? (I have read this in a few other threads on here, but no one seemed to give an answer)
Thanks,

Thanks,
only when you hit bumps? I had a rattle when i accelerated. It took my some time to find it. But it was the stupid heat shield that is factory welded on the exhaust pipes. it had a small crack on the edge and it was sooo annoying. I place a clamp on it and no more rattle!
