Default front lower control arms

The stealership told me today that I need front lower control arms. I have a 2in arb oem and I don't rock crawl; but I want something that want wear out within a year. Any ideals.

What? Was it because your bushings are bad or so they can actually do a alignment?

setting your caster a bit higher with adjustable control arms is a good thing and something that will help prevent DW but, i would have them check your track bar bolts and ball joints before getting new arms. a loose track bar and/or worn out bushings is the number one cause of DW followed closely by bad ball joints - the lowers are notorious for going out quickly.

I'm assuming you meant 2" OME lift? If so, and depending on which springs you got, you more than likely got over 2" of lift and adj control arms are a good idea to adjust your caster and improve the handling. I hardly doubt that is the cause of your death wobble...if in fact you are 100% sure it's actually death wobble and not just a mild front end shimmy. Search for planman's death wobble check list and do a little reading and, if needed, take it back to your dealership and have them go through it.

It's 2"ome. They just got through alighning and checking everything under it and said that the caster was like a 0; where it should be 4.4. And it was deffinantly a death wobble. I've benn driving 4wheel drives every since I've been driving; only the old ford and chevies I could fix by adding shims and shackles.
