Default front lower control arms with cam bolts

I have a 4 inch superlift lift and yes the cam bolts were install.
I Just received the Currie Lower control arms and was wondering if I could mark the cam bolts and reinstall them with the lower adjustable control arm. I would like to install the control arm today because it is my only day off this week. Good or bad idea any help would be appreciated

The best way to do this is to weld a washer where the cam bolt was to make the hole round once again. Should be pretty simple if you know someone with a welder.

littlejon i disagree...i went with rockrawler adjustable lower control arms , and asked them this same question, they RECOMMENDED using BOTH the cam bolts and ADJ CON ARMS. reason being is that the control arms will make the major adjusments and the cam bolts can "fine tune" any needed adjusments from there. so tes you can mark and reuse them

If you have adj arms, how much more fine tuning do you need. I turn of the end of an arm is far less and mora accurate than a slotted hole.

That will work too, but it isn't the prefered way by most lift manufacturers or installers. I was just stating the prefered and most common way to correct this.

Default Front lower control arms

Well I just finished installing the lower control arms. I was amazed at how easy it went together except for the lining the axle to the control arms. The measurement I used is 23 inches eye to eye. I glad I got the lower control arms are I would not have notice the Fuvk up the so called Mech. did to my Jeep.

I had the lift installed @ 4 wheel parts what a joke $140.00 for alignment. As I was installing the lower control arms (Thank WOL for the write up) starting with the passenger side I mark the cam bolt locations on both side and noticed that the J-hole who installed the lift notched out the tabs on the passenger side and did not notched out the driver-side. Both cam washers were straight up causing no adjustment what so ever. Actually this happens to be a blessing now I only have to weld the passenger side lower control mounts on the axle. From now on all my Mod's are going to be done by me with the help of this Forum!!!!! Thanks a lot for all the Help JK brothers.

Sorry, if it were me , I'd go back to 4wp and demand some restitution on the alighnment and install. I'd tell them if they didn't offer me compensation there would be a report filed with the BBB. If that doesn't phase them , I'd file a police report for fraudulent business practices, if that doesn't phase them , being me I'd just kick there ass and have my dad bail me out. Course that's me, my dad's a millionaire and he kinda likes it when I beat the crap outta some one who's done us wrong. Hope you can get some kinda compensation for a crappy install/alighnment. Take care.

Glad to hear it all worked out for you. It is always disapointing when you see where someone did a half ass job on your Jeep.

for sure, but as mentioned, at least he now only has one side to deal with as opposed to two
