it happens with everything. you should always double check your parts when you get them. good thing he notice it.

Yes, there are multiple pinion seals so it's really no big deal but can take more time to get the job done.

Try an auto parts store...maybe...but your dealer is generally a great option as much as people don't like their dealers, they can at least usually get you the right part fairly quickly...or...call Northridge.
Why do you ask?

If I am reading this right you mechanic ordered all the parts and is giving you a hard time over the wrong parts coming in? Tell him to piss off and get the right stuff in.

i have a leak coming from my right front axle. I have already ordered Superior axle tube seals and wanted to make sure there was nothing else that had to be replaced while it was opened.

Don't feel bad, the same thing happened to me when I regeared my axels. The shop called and said that I had the wrong rear pinion seal so they had to get the correct one. I see you have an '07 like mine and I believe that there was some confusion on the early production parts. And when you order a master install kit like I did, one part number covers all the individual components like shims, bearings, and seals. All the parts were correct for the front, and all were correct except for the rear seal.

umm....unless your leaking out your pinion side now, then no you dont need one...you will only require the axle seals that superior provides with their axles as you already got
