Default Front or rear locker?

About to take my JK overseas to northern Africa, and while its set up great and I have a winch already, I am thinking about lockers. I won't be going off roading a lot since I'm limited to maybe an hour or two outside of town, but I heard rainy season makes the place a mess. Didn't want to spend a fortune but was thinking of an on board air compressor and lockers. If I were only to get one set of lockers, would it be front or rear?

You'll hear many people recommend doing the rear first for sheer strength of the rear axle over the front and the point that it'll "push" the jeep on to anything you want to do.

I agree with that ^^^ do you wanna push something or pull something. Ill push any day. Also with the rear you don't run into steering problems

A set of lockers is two, front 'and' rear.

If you want a selectable and only do one, my vote would be a rear arb. Or save a few hundred dollars and consider a 'set' of truetracs.

Rear for sire if your climbing anything etc the front unloads and gets light the rear loads up weight wise...

I had 3 spots wherever the front was too light and my rear locker wasn't working front was on...couldn't quite get it and front was spining and sliding sideways off the rocks had to back off before I flipped over sideways...made one by track standing it and when the front came back in contact with the ground I floored it...

Point is rear would have made em doable....

So my vote is REAR...

This one the front tires aren't on the ground quite yet, I made it.

This one I was coming back down the right front is still off I track standed over 2' here....

I don't see doing any rock climbing but envision lots of mud. But if I do have to bug out, it will be jungle roads, unless I drop a thermite grenade in it so the bad guys don't get it, lol!

Rear all day...makes the mud more fun to go through with both rear tires slinging that shit, painting the truck behind you!

I'm going to be doing my rear first. Few bonus checks and I should be good plus my birthday is coming up as well. I'm going with a Eaton E locker. I do a lot of mud, not much rock crawling so locking the front is not a priority probably just get a $200 lunchbox or aussie for the front if I need one.
