Default Front Rubi locker in the Rear of my X

I am hoping to do this modification...Taking a front Rubi Locker and installing it in the rear of my X Dana 44.

My question is in the wiring. Is it as straight forward as running a selenoid to a switch, with power and a ground?
Anything weird or complex I need to know?
Has anyone done this?

If there are any write ups, I could not find them. I have read the bypass threads, but not like this.

does the front one have the same spline count as the x? I know the rubi rear doesnt.

The X rear D44 is 30 spline, so it *should* work. Although I have never tried it.

If this works, what does a front rubi locker cost? I did not see them listed at Mopar Parts America?

I am planning on hard wiring this if it fits.

What is the amperage? i know that the stock set up runs through a relay. Can it be hooked to straight power or does it have to be hooked to the key?

I really need to know about the amperage for the switch and/or relay. Is it straight forward wiring?

D44's have never used c-clips to my knowledge. Even the old 19 spline 2 piece axles didn't. The TJ (and older) D35 did use c-clips. The D35 and D44 in the JK both use bearing retainers.

yup, no C-Clips. The Dana 35 has C Clips.

the only real question is whether they made any changes to the internal dimensions, but to all accounts it should work. I have one comming, and will find out.

I still need to know the amperage though. Anyone have anyting on this?

I believe the rubi rear shafts are not equal lenght like the X and sahara models. That might be a issue there.
