Default Front shock help

Quick question. I need to disconnect the bottom bolt of both of my front shocks so that I can move my brakeline brackets to the inside where they belong (they were zip tied to the wrong side of the shock). I just lifted the jeep and I don't have a floor jack at home yet. Is it necessary to lift the front end to do this because of shock compression or can I do it with the both wheels on the ground?

You can leave them on the ground. You will just have to compress the shock a little to get it to line up.
