Front Track Bar 101
ok..is replacing my front/read track bar an armor thing or a geometry thing? or both?
as i understand it, the point of a adjustable track bar is to center the axel under the body laterly(left right)?
i read the WOL write up about the JKS unit. by taking the difference between the 2 tires and extending the eye of the bar, you recenter the axel--right?
i'm running a 2.5 BB from TF..
when i measure, what's an accpetable tolerence between the 2 tres?
(do i pull trigger and buy one)
thanks
steve

It's a geometry thing.
The stock track bars are a fixed length so as you lift the jeep the track bar pulls the axle over the the frame side mounts. As you lengthen the track bars they push them back towards the axle side mounts. It's the same reason you have to recenter your steering wheel after a lift.

You need to measure how far offset the axle is. On flat ground with the steering centered take a common point on each side of the axle and measure how far it is away from the frame. lengthen the track bar until these are equal.
IMO none.
