Default Front Track Bar Bracket

Ok so tuesday i was out on the trail and i was going along (in 4lo) and then i realized that my steering felt like it was in 2wd. So im come over the CB and say im gonna stop and check this out. So i got out and i didnt notice anything wrong at first till i went to get back in a noticed the front end moving way to much. I go back and i find where the track bar mount is welded to the frame it snapped in half.

Has anyone ever heard of this or had it happen to them before? My jeep is a 2007 JKUR with only 65k on it. Im thinking of welding the bracket back to the frame and then welding a Synergy reinforcement bracket to it. What do yall think of that?

I am sure you're not the first. When you put a drop bracket on it makes the amount of pressure put on the weld greater. It's the same concept that goes along with using a breaker bar.

I am going to assume Rough Shit = Rough Country. If I am right in my assumption, then I agree 100% haha all their stuff is junk.

My Rough Country lift did the same thing - tore it clean off.

I field welded it it get home, then fully welded it and added the Synergy brace - issue solved. I next replaced that crappy lift with a real one (AEV).

The RC bracket a stupendously stupid idea. RC lifts are really only good for mall crawlers (IMHO).

Not good for anything unless you like throwing good money after bad products.
